Where I began

Growing up in Jamaica, my imagination became a place of exploration and discovery. I filled journals with dreams, reflected on visions of the future, embraced moments of solitude, and spent countless hours engaged in deep thought. Even as a child, I noticed recurring patterns in people, circumstances, and life that I couldn't yet explain but instinctively knew were significant. From an early age, I developed a fascination with the unseen realities shaping human life. While others accepted things at face value, I wanted to understand what was happening beneath the surface—and why. That lifelong pursuit of the unseen—shaped through solitude, reflection, and an unrelenting desire to understand what lies beneath the surface—would eventually become the work of my life.

Through seasons of prayer, intense spiritual battles, personal refinement, unexpected trials, and profound transformation, I began recognizing how unseen battles influence identity, beliefs, decisions, and ultimately, destiny. These discoveries gave birth to Unveiling, later to Win the War in Your Thought Realms, and ultimately to the Thought Mastery System™. Today, my work is devoted to helping individuals confront what has remained hidden, dismantle destructive internal agreements, renew their thinking, and walk in greater freedom, purpose, and Kingdom alignment.

My spiritual journey did not begin in a church service or through a dramatic conversion. It began quietly in childhood. As a little girl, I developed a personal relationship with God before I even understood what it was. In the stillness of solitude, I dreamed with Him through my imagination and spoke with Him as though He were always near. I didn't know it then, but Heaven was already preparing me. By the age of eight, Scripture memorization was part of my daily life. One particular passage established my identity in Christ. Although I would lose sight of that identity for a season, God's Word had already taken root in my heart. Before I knew my assignment, God was establishing my Identity

At nineteen years old, I was still dreaming with God. One day, I told Him that I wanted to build a career in luxury real estate in New York City. Suddenly, the room shook. Then I heard His voice, "YES, YOU WILL." It was my first burning bush moment—an undeniable encounter that revealed God not only hears us, but He answers. He opened a classroom in Business. He answered my prayer and opened doors into the world of luxury real estate, where I worked among some of Manhattan's most accomplished, competitive, and influential professionals. Excellence was expected. Pressure was constant. Weakness was quickly exposed. I thought I was building a business career. I now know God was building a leader. Every classroom became preparation for my calling.

One of God's greatest classrooms for me was business. There, He taught me resilience, discernment, excellence, emotional discipline, leadership, and the courage to remain true to my values in environments where compromise often seemed easier. What I thought was preparation for business was also preparation for ministry. Around the age of twenty, God entrusted me with my first ministry. No one knew it existed except Him and me. He filled my heart with overwhelming compassion for the lost, the broken, and the forgotten. I quietly interceded for homeless men on the streets of New York City, later for single mothers in Atlanta, and eventually for young people searching for hope. There were no titles. No audience. No applause. Only obedience.

As the years unfolded, I rededicated my life to Christ, immersed myself in prayer, served in Healing and Intercessory Prayer Ministries, and later founded Divine Healing Center, Youth Embassy, and Shelly Gee Ministries. Through these ministries, I led a women’s ministry, taught Bible Studies, mentored and taught women overcoming homelessness and substance addiction, helping them rediscover hope through God's Word. Yet through all of it, I wrestled with God's call. I loved

business. I dreamed of success. I wanted to raise my children before stepping fully into ministry. I negotiated with God, promising I would answer His call later. In His mercy, He allowed me to walk that path. I even convinced myself that I could become a Kingdom financier—supporting ministries rather than fully stepping into my own assignment. I thought I had delayed God's plan. I hadn't. What I called delay, God called preparation

Then one day, the Lord said, “I want to take you somewhere.” He led me away to a quiet 200-acre property nestled in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains. For twelve months, He removed the distractions and drew me into His presence. It became my wilderness. There, He pruned what no longer belonged. He refined my character. He restored my identity. He reminded me of promises He had spoken years before. He uncovered truths I had forgotten. He revealed fresh vision, renewed purpose, and my Kingdom assignment. Sometimes God calls us away before He sends us forward.

Then the preparation intensified. For nine years, God refined me through battles I could not fully explain. By the sixth year, the warfare became increasingly visible. By the eighth and ninth years, it became unmistakably fierce. Everything I believed was tested. Everything I trusted was refined. Everything I feared was confronted. Then God revealed the reason.

He walked me through the battle for my mind....so I could help others renew theirs. He walked me through the battle for identity....so I could help others rediscover who they are in Christ. He walked me through hidden warfare...so I could teach others how to recognize what has remained unseen. He exposed hidden beliefs. He dismantled false agreements. He strengthened my discernment. He transformed my thinking. Every battle became a lesson. Every surrender became preparation. Every victory became part of my assignment. Then I finally understood. God wasn’t just speaking to me. He was preparing me.

The little girl who dreamed with God. The young woman who secretly interceded. The businesswoman trained in one of God's greatest classrooms. The woman pruned in the wilderness. The servant refined through years of unseen warfare. They were never separate stories. They were one story. God was preparing me long before I knew what He was preparing me for.

Today, I understand that Win the War in Your Thought Realms and the Thought Mastery System were not born merely from study. They were born from walking with God through the very battles I now help others recognize, confront, and overcome through the truth of His Word.

WHO I AM TODAY

Today, Shelly Gee is an author, speaker, transformation leader, and creator of the Thought Mastery System. This transformational framework helps individuals to identify, challenge, and govern the thought patterns that influence how they think, lead, decide, and live. Through her books, speaking, coaching, and transformational programs, she equips individuals and leaders to contend for their purpose and destiny.

As the author of Win the War in Your Thought Realms, Shelly combines biblical truth, practical strategy, and lived experience to help others renew their minds, walk in freedom, and fulfill their God-given assignment. Whether speaking to churches, leadership teams, organizations, or individuals, her mission remains the same: to participate in Christ's work of setting captives free by helping people move from preparation to purpose and from hidden battles to lasting transformation.

Foundation

My work is grounded in a unique combination of lived experience, Biblical truth, and leadership development. This multidisciplinary foundation enables me to bridge transformational teaching with practical application. My academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, a Master of Arts in Religious Studies, and a Doctor of Divinity. My leadership experience and years of walking through and overcoming my own battles, I bring both practical wisdom and revelatory insight to help others break free.
